Why not just quote the scripture?
We’ve recently given this careful thought. After prayerful review of the terms of use on jw.org and consultation with the branch for direction, we made the conscientious decision not to reproduce the yeartext or other Bible verses. Instead, the wording used here is a thematic encouragement drawn from Matthew 5:3 and reinforced by the beautiful new 2026 Kingdom song My Spiritual Need. In fact, the chorus repeats the thought, “I will always feed my spiritual need,” which directly inspired the expression used. This allows us to provide something uplifting while remaining respectful of the direction we received.
