Daily Bible Reading Diary for JWs
"Guide me in the pathway of your commandments, for in it I take delight." (Ps 119:35) Daily Bible reading is an important part of a Christian's life. Among the many suggestions on how to benefit from your Bible reading, it often comes back to: (1) make a schedule, and (2) keep a diary. We have had many requests for a Bible reading notebook, and we are excited to now be able to fulfill those requests.
When it comes to Bible study, technology is yet to replace good old-fashioned hand-written notes. For example, the May 1, 1995
Watchtower suggested: "After you read each chapter, write a very brief summary of the main idea in that chapter. Use it as a basis for later review and meditation" (w95 5/1 p. 19). This is a Bible journaling booklet designed to do just that. Your new Bible Diary will serve you well, every day of the year. Our hope is that the treasured notes stored inside will be kept for years to come, as you reflect on your studies. Therefore, we took special care in designing a very durable product. The Bible Diary features a quality flexible cover with soft fabric elegantly embroidered with the text: "My Bible Reading Diary". This is a durable book made with similar methods as the 2013 edition of the New World Translation. The economy style sports a hard cover and is coil bound.
Keep a Journal of the Treasures You Find
The "My Bible Reading Diary" does not replace your essential research tools. Rather, it provides a simple and easy-to-use place to keep the many Bible treasures you find. Keep a journal and track your progress as you read the pages of your Bible each day.
Memorize Bible texts
Back in 1995, The Watchtower suggested making cards of special treasures to memorize: "Copy them on cards and put these where you will see them every day. Memorize them; meditate on them; make use of them." (w95 5/1 p. 19). With the 52 included My Special Weekly Treasure cards, you'll be able to do just that. Save one special treasure each week on the blank cards provided and, by yearend, you’ll have over 50 new scriptures memorized. Save these from year to year and you’ll soon have your very own special deck of Bible flashcards made just for you.
Each two-page spread has questions to ponder as you read. These serve as a reminder that you are reading with a purpose - to meditate on and learn from the scriptures.
Fill the page with notes about what you read that day. Keep a note of your favorite scriptures. Write down what you want to apply. The space is for your personal notes.
